So Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love dressing up and decorating. I love the smell of all things pumpkin and the beginning of the cold season. I am finding out that I am passing my love of this holiday down to my Lily. She has been practicing trick or treating the whole month and was super excited to be a Pink Butterfly for Halloween. I wanted us to all dress up together because I am and will be forever a "theme" person. I love when families are all matching together! So I was an Orange Butterfly, Lily was a Pink Butterfly, and Nick was a bug catcher. I don't think Nick was very excited about it, but he went along because it made his girls happy. He is such a good daddy and hubby.
We went to Grace Community Church's Harvest Festival and had such a great time! Lily is such a social butterfly (no pun intended!) she was chatting with everyone telling them it was Halloween Day and she was a butterfly and this and that. She is so much like me! She played a lot of games and got waaaayy too much candy (which her daddy graciously took off her hands as to not get her sick) and she got to go in the bounce house.
After GCC it was off to trick or treat in our neighborhood. I was super excited for her to go out and have a great time, but she got scared at like the fourth house we went to because they had a loud smoke machine. I was so sad for her because it took a lot of the fun out of it. She did have a good time seeing her grammy and grandad and she ended up with a ton of candy. All in all I say it was a pretty good Halloween. I am excited to have a new little bean next year to add to our pack! Maybe we will be a PB&J with Lily as jelly, the baby as peanut butter, and Nick and I as bread. I'm sure that would make Nick sooo happy! Next up.. Thanksgiving!!
